Bhubaneswar: : BJP MP Sambit Patra reacted to the 2026 Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election results, highlighting the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) winning three of the four central panel positions.
According to the results, ABVP’s Yash Dabas won the President’s post, Riya Chhawdi was elected Secretary, and Lakshya Raj Singh won Joint Secretary. Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen won the Vice-President’s post.
Patra attributed the ABVP victories to what he described as the organisation’s focus on development and patriotism. He also criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the NSUI, noting that NSUI did not win any of the four central panel posts.
Patra further said the results reflected the views of Delhi University students and linked them to the broader political themes of development and patriotism.
The DUSU election recorded 40.46% voter turnout, according to reported results.
