Suar Servitors Write Letter to PM for Goushala for Shrimandir

Bhubaneswar: The Saura Servitors body ( Saura Nijoga) have demanded a cow shelter ( Goushala) for the Puri Shrimandir as there is the direction to use only pure cow ghee to prepare all the prashad items of Lord Jagannath temple rather than any other varieties such as OMFED products. So the Saura Nijoga has asked for a Goushala for the everyday rituals of the temple and deities. The association has written a letter to the Prime minister Narendra Modi regarding their wish of setting up a cow shelter specially dedicated to the Shri Mandir rituals.

They have mentioned in the letter about the necessity of the dedicated cow shelter for the temple activities that the mahaprashad can be better prepared with locally produced pure cow ghee other than the OMFED ghee. They have requested the government to notify the administration to build a cow shelter which would produce all the dairy products to be used in the temple such as ghee, curd, milk, butter etc. The Servitors have showed their interest to run the Goushala by using Jagannath temple funds.

The Servitors have sought cooperation, support and guidance from the Prime minister for the better functioning and flourishing Goushala for the temple by notifying the dedication of the Prime minister towards spirituality and agriculture. The letter also indicates towards the promotion of gou- seva ( service to the cows) by sustaining the tradition of the Jagannath Culture. The Servitors have requested the prime minister to support for the use of pure dedi ghee in the mahaprashad instead of OMFED ghee to protect the purity of the pradadbas well as the cow services.
