Bhubaneswar: The Subhadra Shaki Fair 2025, going on at the Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar from 22 February till 2 March. Thousands of visitors within or outside the capital city are getting attracted to witness, experience and purchase the outstanding crafts of the women entrepreneurs in Odisha. This fair is a platform to showcase the talent and creativity of the women craftsmen running various small or medium industries in the state. There are around 300 stalls set up showcasing a vivid variety of crafted products created by the Self Help Groups ( SHGs) and other producers groups in the state.
The varieties ranges from organic food products to processed foods, wellness items, home essentials, decors, toys, etc. The fair is an exposure to the small scale, medium and big artisans in Odisha.
The One District One Products (ODOP) showcase was the biggest attraction of the fair on the fourth day. This execution showed the unique products of the districts that are locally sourced. Among them were Terracotta from Angul, Silver Filigree from Cuttack, Pattachitra from Puri, Patta sarees from Sonepur, Dry Fish from Bhadrak, Handloom items from Sambalpur and Golden grass from Kendrapara.
The fair is illuminated with cultural programs such as traditional dances, comedy shows, live singing performances etc. The fair is an inspiration and motivation for today’s youg minds that are exploded with talents and creativity. They can pursue their hobby, dream and show their hidden talents in such platforms.
