Bhubaneswar: Bollywood does not speak on issues related to religion, conflict, politics, and similar matters. as soon as there is something related to these issues suddenly the Hindi film industry , especially goes silent. Even on matters like Pehalgam attack most of the big figures in Bollywood are still mum. except for a very few people who come out to express their point of view either on social media, maximum of them are just unaffected. What kind of message these so called artists are trying to convey with this indifferent behaviour. How can the art form, audience, social media followers come on the top and ones country takes secondary position. These artists, as they very loudly scream to be, existing along with their what so ever name, fame and money without the country. The country is there, so you are there safe and living. The soldiers are burning in the border so you are doing your films, series, or whatever. To pursue any career and achieve anything in that field, one has to live safely, lead a secure life and be confident about it. The common civilians in India are those who make you famous, successful by watching and adoring you in films. It is not just the art and artist (yourself) which make you what you are, dear ARTISTS.
Being responsible as a citizen is no shame but a matter of pride. These celebrities are certainly behaving like cowards and selfish. Though their Instagram handles are normally flooded with posts and pictures when they are to promote their films, endorse brands, and for that matter showing their daily routine. Oh, you are not interested in the lives and deaths of the common people, neither consider worthy of investing a minute time from your overtly scheduled life to talk about an issue that the whole country is mourning for, then why do you think you are worthy of all the love, adulations and admirations. The heroes are not that come onscreen to fool the people of India but those who fight for the safety and protection of the whole nation. Dear Bollywood, don’t over – estimate yourself being artists, so the art and artists have no boundaries, no limits, no emotions, no country and nationality, no opinion, nothing. The you are lifeless objects.
The comes first, on top of everything. Whoever thinks otherwise is a selfish, coward individual.
