Two-Thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs Announce Merger with BJP

Bhubaneswar: In a significant political development, Raghav Chadha announced that two-thirds of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members in the Rajya Sabha have decided to merge with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Chadha stated that the decision was taken to distance the group from alleged wrongdoing within the party. He added that the MPs chose to continue what he described as “positive politics” by aligning with the BJP.

The development, if formalised, could have notable implications for the political landscape in the Upper House, potentially altering party strength and dynamics. It also signals internal churn within AAP at the national level, as senior members opt for a major realignment.
