Koraput, Odisha: A community-led coffee nursery in Ranitota village of Lamtaput Aspirational Block is creating new opportunities for women-led entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
With technical guidance from the Coffee Board and support from the Coffee Development Trust, local women are receiving training to develop and manage coffee nurseries, equipping them with skills that could open up new avenues for enterprise and income generation.
The initiative is also encouraging greater community participation while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. By building local skills and confidence, the project is seeking to harness the agricultural potential of Koraput’s hilly landscape and strengthen livelihood opportunities for rural communities.
