Fortis Healthcare Enters Odisha, Signs O&M Deal with Dion Group for 300-Bed Greenfield Hospital in Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: Fortis Healthcare has announced its entry into Odisha through an asset-light expansion strategy by signing an Operations and Management (O&M) agreement with Bhubaneswar-based Dion Group to operate a 300-bed greenfield multi-speciality hospital in Cuttack.

The hospital will be developed at Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia, strategically located along the Cuttack–Bhubaneswar corridor. Under the agreement, Dion Group will develop the infrastructure, while Fortis Healthcare will oversee the hospital’s clinical and operational management.

The facility is planned as a tertiary and quaternary care centre, offering advanced medical services across multiple specialities. It will feature state-of-the-art diagnostics, critical care units, and specialised treatment programmes, positioning itself as a regional referral hub for Odisha and neighbouring states.

Fortis Healthcare said the project is expected to improve access to advanced healthcare within the state, reducing the need for patients to travel to metropolitan cities for complex medical treatment.

The partnership is in line with Fortis Healthcare’s asset-light growth strategy, which focuses on expanding its footprint through management contracts rather than direct ownership of hospital assets. The move also strengthens the company’s presence in eastern India while supporting the development of high-quality healthcare infrastructure in Odisha.
