Bhubaneswar: The three day a India DGP/IGP conference being conducted in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from 29 November, Friday is most likely to be focusing on the ongoing violence in Manipur, the challenges to curb terrorism and left-wing extremism. The conference is to be launched by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the afternoon at the Lok Seva Bhavan conference hall. The honorable Prime minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the senior officials of police on Saturday and Sunday.
Various crucial aspects will be discussed in the conference such as important policies, internal security matters like the Manipur crisis, cybercrime, inclusion of technology in policing, counter terrorism, anti- Naxal strategies, prison reforms and so on. The current Manipur violence is the major concern of the government, so there will be significant stress on the matter as stated by one of the senior police officials.
The conference is going to be majorly thrusting upon the future oriented policing strategies and countering internal security threats. The DGPs of different states will be reviewing the implementation and execution of various laws as well as legal provisions introduced lately. The matter relating to the security threats from the usage of technologies as AI and deep fake and getting to reach at certain measures to eliminate them.
