Madame Tussauds Delhi announces cricket legend Kapil Dev’s wax figure as the next celebrity entrant to the attraction. The zealous cricket maestro, Kapil Dev will be present amongst sports heroes where fans will have the unique chance to test their cricket skills in a special dedicated area. Kapil’s popularity amid Indian sports lovers made him an obvious choice to be immortalised at the famed attraction. Known to be an all-rounder and one of the greatest cricketers, Kapil Dev has made his mark in the history of Indian cricket by leading his team to win the 1st Cricket World Cup in 1983. This impressive performance won him the “Cricketer of the Century” award in 2002; which puts him ahead of Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar.
Kapil Dev met with Madame Tussaudsteam for the sitting process, where a group of talented world renowned artist took over 300 measurements to begin the intricate process of creating his figure.
