Bhubaneswar: The next national president of BJP is going to be revealed very soon. Presently J.P Nadda is the national president of the party. There is going to be back to back elections in Bihar this year, in West Bengal in 2026, in UP in 2027, elections for new president and vice president, including the next Lok Sabha election in 2029. All these grave responsibilities are to be thrust upon the solders of this upcoming BJP president.
These are many speculations and narratives being created about the UP government, the Yogi government. Whether the Yogi government would sustain in the upcoming assembly election in the state or there would be any alternative result. The reason being behind such speculations that there has been internal rift within the BJP UP party.
The BJP national president could be elected in the near future. The most probable factor for the selection of a new national president for BJP is that the meeting of the RSS state campaigners and workers has been started on 4 July in Delhi. So the role of RSS will be prominent in the selection of BJP national president. The date for the selection of party president would be decided in this meeting.
In other words, as Bihar assembly election is just ahead, BJP would certainly want a newly elected president to take on all the responsibilities rather than go with an outgoing one. There are also other reports regarding BJP appointing a woman national president this time for the first time in history of the party. A few names are also coming up like Nirmala Sitaraman, Daggubati Purandeswari and Vanathi Srinivasan. Other than the women faces, male leaders like Dharmendra Pradhan, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Bhupendra Yadav and Manohar Lal Khattar.
Prime minister Narendra Modi is on a long foreign visit for the BRICS Summit. After the return of the PM, it is speculated that the name of the new BJP president would be announced. As per the statement made by the Home minister Amit Shah in the Parliament that BJP is the biggest party having millions of workers and leaders all over the country. So is a very systematic and long process to select the party president out of so many probable faces. Therefore unlike the other political parties in India, it takes a longer time to announce the name of the national president for BJP.
