Bhubaneswar: Addressing an event marking the centenary celebrations of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India in 2047 would be significantly different from the country of today, with greater urbanisation, a narrower rural-urban divide and higher expectations among citizens, particularly the youth.
Modi said these changes were already underway and called for public services to keep pace with the speed of technological and social transformation.
He said the challenge was no longer limited to service delivery, but also involved ensuring that public institutions could respond to citizens in an era of instant digital services.
The Prime Minister noted that citizens increasingly expect government services to be delivered quickly rather than having to wait for weeks or months.
