Bhubaneswar, India: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday said India’s presence at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos is being strongly felt across all major platforms, with discussions on the country’s development trajectory and economic growth taking centre stage.
Speaking from Davos, Vaishnaw said the Indian delegation is actively participating in key sessions and high-level engagements. “Today, the Indian delegation is actively participating in Davos 2026 and all major events here. I am joined by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. India’s presence is being strongly felt, with discussions on development and economic growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi dominating conversations,” he said.
The minister highlighted that India’s leadership in technology and its emphasis on inclusive growth have emerged as major themes across various global forums at Davos. He added that India is increasingly being seen as a reliable growth engine and a key contributor to global innovation and digital transformation.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis echoed similar views, stressing the significance of India’s collective representation at the global platform. “India’s presence in Davos is being registered very effectively. The participation of ten different states reflects the spirit of cooperative and competitive federalism that Prime Minister Modi has instilled in us,” Fadnavis said.
He noted that Indian states are engaging with global investors and stakeholders under a shared national vision, while also showcasing their individual strengths. “We are all here representing ourselves under this spirit, and I believe Davos is essential for staying relevant in today’s geopolitics and interconnected global economy,” he added.
India’s strong and coordinated presence at Davos 2026 underscores its growing influence in global economic discourse, with a clear focus on technology-driven growth, federal cooperation, and inclusive development.
