Bhubaneswar: A new technology-driven training initiative, the Zoho Skill Hub, has been launched in western Odisha at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VISUT), in collaboration with Zoho Corporation and Paytm’s ‘Wisdom on Wheels’ programme.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the initiative will equip students with industry-relevant technical skills and create pathways for direct employment through Zoho’s partner network. He emphasised a shift towards competence-based learning over traditional degree-focused education.
The programme also includes the deployment of the ‘Gyan Vahan’ bus to promote digital literacy and outreach, particularly in underserved areas.
Officials noted that the initiative aims to transform western Odisha into a knowledge and innovation hub by integrating academic institutions with industry-driven training models, thereby enhancing employability and supporting the region’s digital growth.
