Bhubaneswar: Hon’ble Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, laid the foundation stone for 3D Glass Solutions’ advanced Glass Substrate Packaging Unit at Info Valley in Khordha.
The project, the first of its kind in India, marks a significant milestone in Odisha’s entry into the semiconductor and advanced electronics manufacturing ecosystem. The facility is expected to support emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing, and defence electronics.
With an investment of ₹2,000 crore, the unit is designed to produce 70,000 glass panels, 50 million assembled units, and 13,200 advanced 3D heterogeneous integration (3DHI) modules annually. The project is also projected to generate around 2,500 employment opportunities, contributing to the state’s industrial growth.
The initiative reinforces Odisha’s positioning as an emerging hub for the global semiconductor industry, backed by a growing talent pool, improving infrastructure, and proactive policy support from the state government.
