Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education Odisha has extended the application deadline for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 by one month. Aspirants can now submit their applications until May 9, 2026.
The decision comes after several candidates were unable to complete their applications before the earlier deadline of April 9. Officials expect the total number of applicants to cross one lakh following the extension.
The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test is a mandatory qualification for candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to VIII in the state.
As per the current schedule, the examination is likely to be conducted on May 29, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete their application process within the revised timeline to avoid last-minute issues.
