Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has said that India’s Gen Z has a strong desire to contribute to the country’s development and that the nation must align its future with the aspirations of the younger generation.
Addressing the role of young Indians in shaping the country’s future, Majhi said Gen Z possesses the determination and commitment needed to take India forward.
“India’s Gen Z possesses a strong desire to work for the nation and take it forward. The country must align its path with this spirit,” the Chief Minister said.
Majhi also cautioned that certain forces, which he alleged often originate from outside India, are attempting to divert young people from their national aspirations.
However, he expressed confidence that the younger generation would remain focused on its goals and would not be easily influenced.
The Odisha Chief Minister urged young Indians to take ownership of the country’s future, saying, “This is your India and your future.”
He said that under the leadership and participation of the younger generation, India would not only achieve the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ but could also emerge as a global leader.
Majhi’s remarks come amid growing political and public discussion over the aspirations, influence and role of India’s Gen Z in shaping the country’s social, economic and political future.
The Chief Minister’s message placed the younger generation at the centre of India’s development journey, emphasising national responsibility, leadership and confidence in India’s future.
