Cockroach Janta Party Holds Major Protest at Jantar Mantar Over Examination Issues

Bhubaneswar: What began as a viral social media campaign has now taken a prominent place in public discourse, with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) staging a large protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6. Led by founder Abhijeet Dipke, the demonstration drew students and supporters from various parts of the country and focused on concerns related to the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, CBSE-related issues, and broader demands for transparency in India’s education system.

Participants raised slogans and carried placards calling for accountability in examination processes, arguing that recurring controversies have undermined the confidence of millions of students and job aspirants. Protesters expressed concern over the impact of examination irregularities on academic careers and future employment opportunities.

Organisers urged demonstrators to maintain a peaceful and disciplined approach while demanding action from authorities. They called for reforms aimed at strengthening examination security, improving transparency, and ensuring fairness in recruitment and educational assessments.

The protest marks a significant milestone for the Cockroach Janta Party, a youth-led movement that has gained widespread attention through social media platforms. Initially known for its online campaigns, the group has expanded its focus to issues affecting young Indians, including education, employment, and governance.

While government authorities have rejected several allegations raised by the protesters and maintained that appropriate measures are being taken to safeguard examination processes, the demonstration has intensified public debate over examination integrity and student welfare.

The strong turnout at Jantar Mantar reflected the growing influence of digitally mobilised movements in shaping national conversations and bringing youth concerns into the public spotlight. Observers say the protest underscores how social media-driven activism is increasingly translating into on-ground participation, particularly on issues that directly affect students and young professionals across the country.
