Bhubaneswar: The “Biswa Bangla” logo is being removed from several official platforms and public infrastructure projects across West Bengal and replaced with India’s national emblem, the Ashoka Stambh.
One of the most visible changes has been observed at the Salt Lake Stadium, where the earlier “Biswa Bangla” signage has been replaced with the national emblem.
The move marks a significant shift in official branding and visual identity on government-linked infrastructure and public installations in the state.
“Biswa Bangla” had previously been widely used as a flagship branding initiative associated with tourism, culture, handicrafts and state government projects in West Bengal.
Officials have not yet issued a detailed public statement regarding the broader scope or implementation timeline of the replacement process across other government properties and institutions.
