Bhubaneswar: The Principal Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Department, Government of Odisha, along with the Commissioner of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), conducted an on-ground inspection of sanitation activities at various locations across Bhubaneswar on Monday.
During the inspection, the senior officials reviewed cleanliness levels, waste collection operations and overall sanitation management in different parts of the city. They interacted with field staff and sanitation workers to assess the effectiveness of ongoing efforts under the city’s cleanliness initiatives.
The Principal Secretary lauded the dedication and hard work of sanitation workers, acknowledging their crucial role in maintaining a clean, healthy and livable urban environment. Officials also emphasized the importance of regular monitoring, timely waste disposal and public cooperation to sustain cleanliness standards.
The inspection reflects the state government’s continued focus on urban sanitation and its commitment to strengthening civic services in the capital city.
