Kangana Ranaut Returns As Rani In ‘Queen’ Sequel While Managing MP Responsibilities

Bhubaneswar: Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has officially begun shooting for the sequel to her acclaimed 2013 film Queen, reprising her popular role as Rani.

The sequel is being directed by Vikas Bahl and is currently under production in South Mumbai. The project has already generated significant buzz among fans eager to see the continuation of Rani’s journey more than a decade after the original film’s success.

Apart from the film itself, attention has also turned to Kangana’s demanding schedule as she balances her acting commitments with her responsibilities as a Member of Parliament from Mandi. Reports indicate that the actor-politician has been travelling frequently between Mumbai and Delhi to manage both roles simultaneously.

According to reports, the sequel may not carry the title “Queen 2,” with the makers reportedly considering the name “Queen Forever,” which has emerged as a preferred option within the production team.

Kangana is also said to have started preparations for the sequel soon after completing work on Bharat Bhagya Vidhata. Sources indicate the production team had a limited pre-shoot preparation window of around 20 days before filming commenced.

The original Queen was widely praised for its coming-of-age storyline and remains one of Kangana Ranaut’s most celebrated performances.
