Bhubaneswar: In a significant administrative move, retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra has been appointed as the first full-time Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya.
The appointment is aimed at strengthening the professional and administrative framework for managing the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and its expanding operations.
Mishra brings nearly four decades of experience in the Indian Air Force. He retired on April 30, 2026, after serving as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Air Command.
As CEO, Mishra will be responsible for overseeing the Trust’s administration, operations, organisational systems and regulatory compliance, among other responsibilities.
His appointment comes as the Ram Temple continues to attract large numbers of devotees, creating increasingly complex requirements for administration, visitor management and day-to-day operations.
According to the information shared, Mishra was selected following an extensive search process involving thousands of applications, underscoring the significance of the newly created full-time leadership position.
The appointment is being viewed as an important step towards establishing a more structured and professional administrative system for the future management of the temple and its expanding activities.
