Bhubaneswar: The scheme ‘Aama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ introduced during BJD tenure is going to be renamed as ‘ Bikasit Gaan Bikasit Odisha’ by the current government in the state. The guidelines will be declared shortly.
Under this scheme the representatives in the panchayat level and the Palli Sabha will be entitled to implement the developmental actions, as excerpted by the Panchayatiraj minister Rabi Narayan Naik.
The scheme has be created in such a manner that all the government developmental projects will be functioning by the name of ‘ Bikasit Gaan, Bikasit Odisha’. It will be the responsibility of the Gram Sabhas to identify and work on the developmental aspects in the villages. The developmental works like roads, school, embankment, cultural activities and sports in the villages.
The Panchayatiraj minister stated that the BJP government in the state will be working as per the proposal of the people and make the local representatives authorized for the development of the panchayat in general and villages in particular.
