BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government has assured citizens that there is no oil crisis in the state and appealed to the public not to engage in panic buying of petroleum products.
Speaking on the situation, Sanjay Singh said the state currently has sufficient stock of petrol and diesel and there is no reason for concern over fuel availability.
He informed that district Collectors across Odisha have been directed to immediately intervene in case any local shortage or supply disruption is reported.
Officials said the government is continuously monitoring fuel distribution and remains in regular contact with oil marketing companies to ensure uninterrupted supply throughout the state.
The administration has also warned against hoarding of fuel and urged people not to believe rumours or misinformation related to petroleum shortages.
The government reiterated that adequate arrangements are in place to maintain normal fuel supply and distribution across Odisha.
