Nepal Launches Sponsored Tourism Trips for Indian Influencers

Bhubaneswar: The Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi has announced a new initiative offering fully sponsored familiarisation trips to Indian travel influencers and digital content creators to promote tourism in Nepal.

Under the programme, five Indian influencers, vloggers, podcasters or social media creators will be selected to participate in a curated tourism experience across various destinations in Nepal.

Officials stated that the selected participants will get an opportunity to explore the country’s natural landscapes, cultural heritage, spiritual destinations, adventure tourism activities, wildlife attractions, local cuisine and hospitality sector.

The programme is designed to showcase major tourism experiences including mountain tourism, temple circuits, trekking, adventure sports, wildlife tourism and cultural attractions through digital storytelling and social media engagement.

In return, participating creators will produce travel-related content such as vlogs, reels, podcasts and social media posts aimed at promoting Nepal’s tourism offerings among Indian audiences.

Authorities believe the initiative could help strengthen tourism inflow from India by leveraging the growing influence of digital creators and online travel content platforms.

The move reflects a broader trend in global tourism promotion where countries increasingly collaborate with influencers and content creators to reach younger audiences through social media-driven destination marketing.
