surrogate support to Pakistan in the India – Pakistan military escalation post
Pehalgam terror attack in April 2025. Turkey lacked courage to fight with India from

There is a nation wide movement to ban everything Turkish in India. India has

was the first country to send its planes full of relief materials like medicines, clothes,

Pakistan is the country which fosters the terror groups like Laskar-e- Toeba and
Jaish-e-mohammed, terrosts like Hafiz Sayd and Masood Azhar. Osama bin Laden
was found in the same country as well . Turkey calls the same terrorisation a brother
that was placed in the Financial Action Task Force ‘Grey List’ for failing to act against
terror financing.
The reason why Turkey backs Pakistan: Among all the muslim majority countries
Pakistan is the only one country that is a nuclear power. Turkey is trying g to position
itself as a leader of the Islamic countries backing Pakistan gives it strategic
relevance. Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia once tried to create Muslim Alternative Bloc to
challenge Saudi and UAE led dominance. Erdogan is trying to be seen as the
protector of the Ummah” by supporting Palestine and Kashmir.
Due to Turkey ‘s authoritarian politics, it is losing its global stature. It also deals with
economic troubles and broken foreign ties. Backing Pakistan helps Turkey stay
relevant in the Islamic world and project itself as boss, protector of Muslim causes.
Turkey is a member of NATO, an alliance that strongly condemns terrorism. Then
what justification Turkey has for backing Pakistan for promoting terrorism. Turkey is
empowering terrorism by supporting Pakistan.
