MoSPI to Host National Summit on Data Harmonisation in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) will organise a National Deliberative Summit on “Harmonizing Administrative Data for Governance” from April 29 to 30 in Bhubaneswar.

The summit is being held as a follow-up to the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December last year, where the need for better integration and utilisation of administrative data was emphasised.

The primary objective of the summit is to build consensus among stakeholders on a structured action plan and timelines for harmonising administrative data systems. The initiative aims to enhance data quality, interoperability, and usability, thereby strengthening evidence-based policymaking and governance.

Officials noted that improved coordination and standardisation of administrative datasets across departments will enable more efficient service delivery and informed decision-making at both state and national levels.
