Boiler Explosion at Vedanta Plant in Chhattisgarh Leaves Several Feared Dead

Bhubaneswar: A major boiler explosion at a power plant operated by Vedanta Limited in Singhitarai area of Sakti district has left at least 10 people feared dead and around 40 others injured, according to preliminary reports.

The incident triggered panic at the facility, with emergency services rushing to the site to carry out rescue and relief operations. Several injured workers have been shifted to nearby hospitals, while the condition of some is reported to be critical.

Authorities are yet to confirm the exact cause of the explosion, though initial indications suggest a boiler malfunction. Local प्रशासन officials and disaster response teams are continuing search and rescue efforts amid concerns that more workers may be trapped.
