Kharagpur | 3rd May, 2025: In a significant development underscoring the importance of India in Hitachi Construction Machinery’s global strategy, Mr. Masafumi Senzaki, President & Executive Officer, COO, HCM, and Mr. Itaru Nishizawa, Senior Vice President & Executive Officer, CTO & President of R&D Group, HCM, visited Tata Hitachi’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Kharagpur on April 30, 2025. The visit was accompanied by Mr. Sandeep Singh, Managing Director, Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Pvt. Ltd.
The high-level delegation’s visit marks the beginning of a new financial year with a renewed focus on strengthening technological collaboration, product innovation, and customer-centricity in the Indian market.
During their visit, the leaders toured key sections of both the manufacturing plants of Tata Hitachi in Dharwad, Karnataka and Kharagpur, West Bengal.The tour including the assembly lines, fabrication areas, paint shops, and warehouses. They interacted with plant leadership teams, engineers, and other members —appreciating the world-class practices in manufacturing excellence, safety, and sustainability. The team also reviewed ongoing advancements in localized R&D and product development.
Additionally, the delegation participated in a customer meet held in Kolkata on April 29th, where they engaged with Tata Hitachi’s key customers from the Mining sector, further emphasizing collaborative efforts to enhance customer relationships and cater to industry-specific needs.
This visit sets the tone for deeper collaboration between HCM and Tata Hitachi in areas such as digital innovation and technology sharing.
