Samrat Choudhary Sworn In as Bihar’s First BJP Chief Minister

Bhubaneswar: Senior Samrat Choudhary leader was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar on Wednesday, marking a historic moment as he becomes the first CM from the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state.

Choudhary took the oath of office in a ceremony attended by senior party leaders and officials, signaling a major political shift in Bihar’s leadership.

His predecessor, Nitish Kumar of the Janata Dal (United), stepped down after being elected to the Rajya Sabha, paving the way for the leadership transition.

The development marks a significant change in Bihar politics, where Nitish Kumar had been a dominant figure for nearly two decades, often leading coalition governments.

With Choudhary at the helm, the BJP is expected to steer the state’s governance agenda independently, ushering in a new political phase.
